About Karolyn Hart
Karolyn Hart is the founder of Thrive! an organization committed to helping women achieve more in their lives since 2003.
“Thrive! is not just about women,” explains Karolyn. “It’s about getting women to Thrive! in their lives so that our families, our communities, our countries, and ultimately our world Thrives!”
Karolyn started Thrive! after reading an article on the lost sense of community in women. She decided to start that community and bring women together to see where it would lead.
“My favourite quote of all time is ‘One is too small a number to do anything great!’” explains Karolyn. “I have been very, very blessed by the people that have allowed me to be a part of their lives. It just so happens that we all want to change the world for the better and it’s great to see this dream become a reality. ”
Like many woman Karolyn wears numerous hats. She is the Business Development Director at Wireless Ronin Technologies, the Executive Producer of Get Connected TV (airing since 2004), the Marketing Director at Ontario Michigan Great Community Events, the Founding Director of The Harkaro Group (committed to transforming the Windsor and Detroit region).
Karolyn’s journey to becoming a sought-after professional starts in the most unlikely of places. With the original intention of working with the homeless or as a missionary in third world countries Karolyn began her education at Emmanuel Bible College in Kitchener Ontario.
A summer position at a large financial institution changed everything. Within a few months Karolyn was offered the opportunity to assist a unit transitioning from a recent take over. A junior position quickly developed into a mid-level position as Karolyn began to excel. Fast forward several years and Karolyn found herself working for another large financial organization under top level executives. These executives provided Karolyn with a solid business acumen and the necessary professional training to continue excelling in her career.
“I feel so grateful for the journey my life has taken,” says Karolyn. “What excites me is this is just the beginning. The last 10 years has lead me to places and people that have brought me such joy. I can’t wait to see what the next decade will bring!”
I tend to disagree with her statement about one is a small
number. By yourself, maybe, but being a Christian one with
God is unstoppable! People were never meant to do everything by themselves! That is why so many moms get trapped in the stupid Super Mom mold!
You can only do what you can do and no more! If you try and do more you will burnout. You will be of no use to yourself or others. You need all the families help to make it easier on everyone! You must take care of yourself first, before you can help others
The way people approach life and their thinking is what chooses their destiny. If we think one person is small by themself and we need to attract more to create a positive action, then saying one can only do what one can do and no more is a negative. There is always something one can do. Even the most minute thing can sometimes change the way thousands think.
Being a Christian as well, I realize free will comes into play. I agree with the statement personally, but I also believe Mary’s statement that people were never meant to do anything by themselves.
Just a Dad passing through who happened to see this wonderful site.
