Through speaking with the Boomers in my life and reading a few articles I realized this generation is giving us all a wonderful gift. Just as they have done with every major life stage boomers are transforming and changing it into something radically different.

Because, really, there is no other option. From the moment we are born, we’re getting older. So maybe it’s actually the difference between “old” and “older” that gets to us. Most of us don’t mind getting older . . . we mind getting old. Interesting distinction.

On so many levels I love this song. First, it take a positive spin on marriage. What’s not to absolutely LOVE and ADORE about that? A song where the guy isn’t trading in his wife for a younger version or even thinking about. Just the opposite! He’s happiest in his mid-life. I say - BRING IT ON.

I’m almost 52 …am I old? I’m not sure, truly I’m not. In olden times I would be definitely be considered long lived and have great status and be given great respect for the knowledge and wisdom I have earned during my years of journeying on this planet.
